Discover Your Ayurvedic Oasis: Personalized Treatments and Consultations for Balance and Vitality

How I work

Because Ayurveda emphasizes balance in all areas of your life, I don’t only focus on your body, but will take an extensive personal and medical history, including questions about daily diet, lifestyle, profession and working conditions, exercise routines, relationships and your mental health.

Knowing all these aspects helps me to identify the root cause of your problems, the imbalances in your body and accordingly determine a personalized treatment plan best suitable for you.

The human body is quite complex, every function is intricately connected with another. A digestion problem can be related to stress, sleep deprivation or bad elimination or both. The pain in the body might be because of inactivity, obesity or bad posture. The insomnia can be caused by an irregular lifestyle, anxiety, poor diet or depression. So, a single problem might trace back to a different source or sources. In Ayurveda when we treat the source, the symptoms disappear. During a consultation I identify your doshic imbalance and then develop a customized treatment plan that best suits you.

Aside of a very detailed intake, I also make use of tongue and pulse diagnosis.

Using pulse diagnosis, I can determine

  • The original mental and physical constitution of the patient and their doshas
  • Any imbalance in the doshas and sub- doshas
  • The state of Agni (digestive fire, metabolic activity)
  • Any abnormal mental or physical activity

Through the use of the tongue diagnosis, I can determine

  • Internal organ’s health
  • Vata, Pitta or Kapha state or imbalance
  • Presence of toxins and needs of detox
  • Tension and emotions held in spine and shoulders
  • Anemia and cirtulation
  • Malabsorption
  • Inflammation
  • Parasitic infection

Tongue is called a window of the inner system. Ayurveda says, read your tongue and you will know how healthy you are. It is important to check your tongue regularly to recognize the imbalances in your system.

Living According to Nature’s Rythms

Lifestyle is the way we live our lives. Lifestyle is the work we do, what we eat, the way we exercise, how we behave, how we spend our free time, holidays and how we relate to others. Lifestyle is profoundly related to our needs and to our emotions. This is why lifestyle has a very strong relationship to our sense of happiness and wellbeing.

Research shows that living a healthy lifestyle can help prevent long-term illnesses. Feeling good about yourself and taking care of your physical and mental health is important for your self-esteem. But what is the best lifestyle for us? Where to start?

Ayurveda can help you answer these questions. The best lifestyle for you is linked to your own personal constitution and the rhythms of nature. Maintaining a lifestyle according to your constitution is doing what is right for your body and mind every day and every season.

During an Ayurvedic consultation, you will find out what daily routine or dinacharya is best suitable for you. I will also give you handy tips and tricks to manage your energy every time the seasons change. In Ayurveda, this is called ritucharya. Following your own dinacharya and ritucharya will work wonders in your life.

Akshitarpana is an ancient eye care treatment and rejuvenation in Ayurveda. It is an excellent therapy for managing many forms of eye disease, as well as a amazing preventative and wellness treatment that cleanses and rejuvenates the eyes and promotes good vision.

The therapy involves first placing a ring of dough, made from black gram (chickpea) flour, around the eyes. The ring is applied so that it does not leak. Then, with the patient’s eyes closed, the therapist pours warm medicated ghee into the eye cavity covering the eyes entirely. The patient is instructed to do special eye exercises so the therapeutic action can take place. After the therapy is complete, the ghee and dough are removed.

Akshitarpana relieves eye strain and the detrimental effects of prolonged exposure to screens. It strengthens eye tissue, helps to fight dark circles under the eyes, and makes the eyes brighter and clearer.

I combine Akshitarpana with head and face massage.
